We're just back from NYC and, yes, the whole grain bread book won the James Beard Award as Best Baking and Desserts Book of the Year!
I will post a longer entry later today (hopefully) but wanted to get this to you now. It was all very exciting--more to come on this later. Thank you, especially, to all you recipe testers who helped hone those tricky techniques. I thanked you all (not individually, of course, but collectively) from the stage during my acceptance speech. You all share in this award!
