Hi Again,
I've been away from the blog for a couple of weeks and am far behind--including responding to questions on the Forum. So sorry!! I hope to catch up with the Forum this weekend before I head out to Texas, so please don't think I've abandoned you. However, some good news to report:
--We're adding a breakfast booksigning at Omnivore Books in San Francisco (Noe Valley) on Friday, March 5th. If you live in the area, give Celia a call at Omnivore for details at (415) 282-4712 or check the website at www.omnivorebooks.com. Bring something delicious!
--Also, if you live in the LA or Newport Beach area, they are now posting for our upcoming classes on the Sur la Table (SLT for short) website: Feb. 23 for Newport Beach; 24th for LA Farmer's Market at www.surlatable.com so please sign up soon--seating is limited.
--Just worked it out today -- we'll be having classes at SLT in Phila. (May 15th), Arlington, VA (May 17th), and Richmond, VA. (May 18th)! The Philly store (King of Prussia) opens in early May and I'll be one of the first touring chefs there. My brothers and mom live nearby so it should be family reunion time too!
-- I received a great letter from a teenage blogger and enthusiastic cook from SF. I'm really impressed with her writing and, if she ever becomes famous, you heard it here first. Check out www.notebookworthy.wordpress.com and find out all about Nell, aka, The Passionate Baker.
--The music is being written as I write , the editing is getting down to final tweaks, and we're getting closer to the Pizza Quest website launch. I'd hoped for January but I think late February or early March is more realistic--these things really time but I'm more excited than ever about it. Will keep you posted, but it looks like it's really going to happen!
--Will try to post again before I leave for Texas on Monday. I heard from my friend, Chef Paul Penney, that there's a group of about 10 bakers from as far away as Canada all meeting up in Houston for the class. Can't wait to meet you all. Texas, here I come!!
May your bread always rise!
Peter
