Hi Everyone,
Thanks for being patient--I'm finally ready to create a data base of recipe testers for the new book (see previous posts for details if you're a new reader to this blog). I won't be sending out recipes for a few weeks but will soon be sending out a recipe testers evaluation form (in a week or so), after I have a solid core group of testers. Feel free to pass this info on to anyone you think should have it, including the various web groups like King Arthur Flour Baking Circle, The Bread-Bakers List, and The Fresh Loaf.
Here are the rules:
--If you sign up you will be sent one recipe at a time to test, and you can keep testing more as you complete the one you already have. You will need to send back, via e-mail, the evaluation form which basically tells me how well the recipe worked and any other feedback you want to provide.
--You cannot send these recipes to other people, especially since the recipes are still works in progress. Your feedback is essential to making them as good and clearly written as possible. If others request to see them, please tell them to write to me if they are willing to become a tester.
--I cannot give you a free book when it comes out but will happily list you in the acknowledgements (we had about 300 of you listed in the whole grain breads book!). I will probably be able to offer a discounted price and signed copies for testers. If you've tested before, you're welcome to jump back in (you know what you're in for). If your new, welcome!!! All skill levels are invited, including beginners.
--The recipes may not work perfectly so please don't expect them to be fool-proof. You are part of the discovery process.
--You can drop out at any time or you can keep testing till the book is ready to go to press.
If this sounds good to you, please write to me at bestbreads@gmail.com
Do not use the Yahoo address that we used for the last book (recipetesters@yahoo.com) but you can still use that address to write to me about anything else--it is now a general correspondence box. Let's reserve this new gmail address specifically for testing the new book. Don't expect to hear back right away but I will acknowledge you with a return e-mail and more information in about a week or ten days. If you haven't heard back from me by then, write again and copy it also to the yahoo address (just in case).
It's going to be fun!
Thanks in advance for your interest and help. Until then,
May Your Brerad Always Rise!
Peter
